Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey was consecrated in 1065 under Edward the Confessor and rebuilt in the Gothic style begun by Henry III in 1245. Since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066 it has been the coronation church of England's, then Britain's, monarchs.
